Among these 3 devices, Moto G6 Play will be the most affordable option with a lower specifications. Snapdragon 630 or 660 SoC and Snapdragon 450 SoC
The Upcoming Moto G6 is expected to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon latest Snapdragon 450 SoC while the Moto G6 Plus will be powered by the Octa-core Snapdragon 630 or 660 SoC. Both the chipsets are about 25% faster than their old predecessors and also adds to better functionality of the camera.
Dual Camera System
Dual lens camera system is 100% certain on the upcoming Moto G6 lineup unless Moto unexpectedly tries to move on to the Google Pixel 2’s technology. Last year, Motorola had already launched Moto G5S Plus with a dual-lens camera, and thus a Dual camera system with minor improvements is expected from Moto. Hopefully, we also get to see better low-light capabilities from the camera. However, it’s unclear if all the 3 versions would support the Dual Camera System.
The biggest change which Moto needs to implement with their smartphones is to replace the older USB Type-B ports with the Type-C ones. It was very uncomplimentary that the Type-C technology was not equipped with the older G5S Plus. Hopefully, Moto adds a USB Type-C port this time.
Though Wireless charging is not common on budget phones, it is suspected that Moto might add wireless charging to the higher model of the 6th generation G series lineup. Most probably, the Moto G6 Plus can come with wireless charging.
The release date of Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus is scheduled the month of February or March. There are high chances the the phone might be launched at MWC (Mobile World Congress) which is held at Barcelona globally. The release date of Moto G6 and G6 Plus in India will be announced after that.
